Terms of Service

These terms govern access to the ItemData website, dashboard, documentation, API, and related support.

Effective 3 August 2026

Service and eligibility

You must be legally able to enter an agreement and must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity performed with your account and API keys.

ItemData is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. Steam and game availability remain subject to their owners and upstream services.

Acceptable use

Do not use ItemData to violate law, third-party rights, Steam rules, or another person's privacy; bypass access controls; probe or disrupt the service; distribute malicious code; resell access in a misleading way; or attempt to obtain another user's credentials.

You must use caller-authorized credentials only with the account holder's informed permission and must protect every API key and Steam credential from disclosure.

Plans, limits, and changes

Published plan limits, credits, and prices shown at the time of selection apply to that plan unless otherwise agreed. Beta and assisted plans may require support confirmation. We may change future plans or service features, but will not present unavailable capabilities as part of the current API contract.

Availability and upstream dependencies

The service is provided on an as-available basis unless a separate written service agreement says otherwise. Steam, network providers, and other upstream dependencies can fail, change behavior, rate limit, or become unavailable. No undocumented response or uninterrupted availability is guaranteed.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access to protect the service, comply with law, investigate abuse, respond to non-payment, or enforce these terms. You may stop using ItemData and revoke your API key at any time.

Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ItemData is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
